From Where Does The Surname Originate? meaning and history

Pendrich, Pendrigh. Curtailed forms of Pittendreigh, which see. Pendrich near Bridge of Allan was of old Petendreich. William Pendreicht was one of the brethren of the Abbey of Deer, 1544 (CRA., p. 203). John Pendreych was retoured heir of Robert Pendreych de eodem in Maynes of Pendreych, etc., 1547, and in 1604 the same John is referred to as John Pettindreich de eodem (Retours, Banff, I, 20). An assessment was made against Alexander Pendriche, 1621 (RSCA., II, p. 250), Alexander Pendrich in Petfoure was charged in 1620 with being an 'idle and masterless man' (RPC., XII, p. 355), and James Pendroch was a merchant in Edinburgh, 1660 (Edinb. Marr.).
