James Rysyid, merchant burgess of Air, heir of Elizabeth alias Bessie Rysyid, lawful daughter of quondam William Rysyid, burgess of Air, 1606 (Inquis. Tut., 94). James Rasyd was occupier of the 20s. land of Brothoklie in 1659, and John Rasyd in Hullerhirst was bailie for Cunynghame in the same year (Hunter, p. 68). David Raesyd or Rasyde was servitor to Mr. Robert Huntar of Huntarstoune in 1680 (ibid., p. 62, 64), Robert Rosyde is recorded in Campbeltown in 1682, and David Russide in Hill, 1767 (Kilbarchan). William Rawsyde or Rasyde in Irvine, 1700 (Irvine, II, p. 316).
