The forefathers of Rajalim came from Siwa, which is a market center of Phidim municipality in Panchthar District in the Mechi Zone in the Eastern Nepal. It starts from Nacha, his son Mahapaha, Yawus (son of Mahapaha), Chawu (son of Yawus) who moved to Bara-Amchok in Nepal, Falen (youngest son of Chawu), Nadi (son of Falen), Rawu (son of Nadi), Dhummati (son of Rawu), Ratilu (son of Dhummati), Malu (son of Ratilu), Dosum (son of Malu), Puwalu (son of Dosum), Ramanu (son of Puwalu), Chuwas (son of Ramanu). And finally Rajalim (son of Chuwas) and his brothers were, Dushun, Namnu, Lulam and Buchiyang.
Rajalim had four sons namely, Hariman, Tayatim, Desamun and Khoptang (or Shopant). Five generations down the line from Desamun, Dhanharka (son of Sashbir) moved to Sikkim with his six sons. And they were: Raj Lal, Dhan Lal, Jas Lal, Rekh Lal, Hasta Bir, Haiman Singh.
