This small Christian kingdom had a king, Christian in its old spelling Rícila, Rékila, or, as they prefer others Requila in the fourth century or V. The subjects of that kingdom, that is, residents of the area of that little kingdom received the requilães name, or in its most Latinized form "requillanis" finally, citizens or subjects of Requila kingdom;so put the Requiãos are Swabians come from many families of Swabian origin, pre-Portuguese, therefore, and trainers, as an ethnic group, in a very small scale of the Portuguese people. For a Christian this kingdom (Requiário son of Requila, was the first king suevo to convert to 448) beyond the usual construction characteristics of the century villages, was there also a church that survived according to several authors until November 2 1942 when it was consumed by fire.
