The name of Rodercus (gen. Roderco in Adamnan, I, 15) filius Tothail, "qui in Petra Cloithe (Dumbarton) regnavit," is better known under the Welsh form of his name, Rhydderch. The name appears in Rreton as Rozerch (1384), old Breton and Old Welsh Rodcrch.
