In Catalonia the lineage swept the Ampurdan, territory comprising the towns of judicial districts of Figueras, La Bisbal, Girona and Olot, all of the province of Gerona, and also happened to the remaining Catalan.
It should be noted that in the provinces of Barcelona, Lleida, Tarragona and Valencia there are several places called Rocafort, whose surname was perhaps, in ancient times, has any relationship with the lineage.
There are also, in Aragon, in the judicial district of Tamarite Bunk and province of Huesca, a village called Rocafort, which undoubtedly gave its name in ancient times the family of this surname, because in the Archive of the Crown of Aragon between the scrolls King Alfonso I of Aragon there are preserved, Arnaldo contains a script, Preceptor Holy Redeemer Hospital, Teruel, who with authority granted Bonet said Monarch of the Rocafort and his perpetual rulership over movable and immovable property they owned in the end of that village of Rocafort.
