Roger de Ripun was burgess of Aberdeen, 1271 (Fraser, p. 9), and Henry de Ripon appears as a charter witness in Dundee, 1281 (HP, II, p. 233). William de Rypun was witness to a renunciation by William Maule of Panmure, c. 1292 (Panmure, II, 153), and Walter de Rypon or Rypun was burgess of Edinburgh, 1296 (Bain, II, p. 188,197).
