'son of Rodger,' which see. Ade filius Rogeri held land in Aberdeen in 1281 (REA., II, p. 279), and Stephen dictus Rogersone held land in Edinburgh in 1411 (Cambus., 94). Donald Rogerson was a native man (serf) of the bishop of Moray, 1364 (REM., p. 161), John Rogerson had a safe conduct into England in 1424 (Bain, IV, 963), Adam Rogeri was a presbyter in Brechin in 1435 (REB., I, 73), William Rogerson was tenant of the abbot of Cupar-Angus in 1479 (Cupar-Angus, I, p. 226), and John Rogesoune signed the Band of Dumfries in 1570 (RPC., XIV, p. 66). Thomas Rodgersone, merchant of Dumfries, 1689 (RPC., 3. ser. XIV, p. 160; John Rogerson (1741-1823), M.D., was medical adviser to the emperor and court of Russia. Rodgerson 1552.
