From the lands of the same name in the parish of Inverkeithing, Fife. Sir Robert de Rossive appears in 1230 on an assize of marches in Fife (RD., 196), and is also mentioned in three other writs in the same record (113,176, 204) between 1231 and 1253. He had two daughters only, one of whom, Mariota, married Nigel de Karrik (Neubotle, p. 41), and the other, Ada, married Gilbertus de Aytone (RMS., I, 70).
