Seacome or Secum, Sturzaker or Stursacre, and Sudall or Sudell, are old Lancashire names now rarely represented in the county. Seacome and Secum were the names of mayors and bailiffs of Liverpool in the 16th and 17th centuries (B. L.). The Sturzakers or Stursacres were a numerous and well - to - do Garstang family, from the 16th to the 18th century; they lived at Kirkland in the reign of Elizabeth (F. G.), and still reside there. During the 17th and 18th centuries the Sudalls or Sudells were at different times mayors and aldermen of Preston; they may have sprung originally from the same stock as the present Siddalls or Siddells of Derbyshire and the North and East Ridings.
