Sikapizye means 'just go and wash'. They are the creators of the Namwanga language, which found in Nakonde in the northern part of Zambia. It shares a border with Tanzania. They are related to The Siyame, which in the Namwanga language means 'king' or 'lord'. The surname Sikapizye came after being in slavery to the King of Tanzania in Fipa Land. This king assigned the Sikapizye the duty of cleaning all materials that can be cleaned using water, after capturing them at their ancestors land called Mwendah, (meaning 'the wanderers'). Then the king forced them to clean equipment. Then they started telling each other to go clean by saying in their Namwanga language (sikapizye = 'just go and clean'). The original name of The Sikapizye was Mwendah. During The Bantu migration in Africa they were wandering to find the place to settle.
