John Sprunte leased part of Kethyk, c. 1443 (Cupar-Angus, I, p. 119), Andrew Sprount was tenant of Balgreschach in 1473, the Park of Newbigging was granted to Patrick Sprund in the same year, and an eighth part of Balbrogy was let to Patrick Sprwnt in 1476 (ibid., p. 176,185, 205). Andrew Sprwnt held a land in Aberdeen in 1447 (CRA., p. 15), John Sprwnt was a witness in Brechin, 1476 (REB., I, 199), and Robert Sprunt is recorded in Easter Caputh, 1690 (Dunkeld).
