Robert Stibillis or Stibles, son of the late John Stiblis, was admitted burgess of Dundee in 1593 (Wedd., p. 62), Robert Stibbillis appears as lector of the church of Dundee in 1623 (REB., II, 242), and Alexander Stable is recorded in Forgyside, 1698 (Moray).
