Waldeuus de Stratheihan with consent of Ranulfus, his son and heir, granted the lands of Blarkerocch to the church of St. Andrew, c. 1200 (RPSA., p. 276-277). Ranulph de Stratheuchin witnessed a charter granted by Thomas de Lundin between 1203-14 (RAA., I, 65). Waldeuus de Strahechen witnessed an undated (but c. 1220) charter of Dunfermline (RD., 202). Henry de Strathekyn had a charter in 1346, and in 1361 Alexander de Strathechyne had a grant of the lands of Skryne in the barony of Panmure (Panmure, II, p. 166,174). Abraham Stratheykyn is recorded in Aberdeen, 1408 (CWA., p. 314), Geffray Sterthaughyn had a safe conduct to travel in England, 1424, and John of Straachyn and Alexander (without 'of') the same, 1431 (Bain, IV, 963, 1051). William Stradachin became burgess of Aberdeen, 1463, and Donald de Strachauchin in 1465 (NSCM., I, p. 18, 19). James Straithauchin claimed the benefice of Culter, 1489 (OPS., I, p. 175), Sir John Stradachyn, a cleric, was witness in Aberdeen in same year (REA., II, p. 303), and David Straughin was procurator of the Scottish "Nation" in the University of Orleans, 1512 (SHSM., II. p 97).
