STRALOCH: From the place of the same name in the parish of New Machar, Aberdeenshire. Duncan Straloch who was admitted burgess of Aberdeen in 1460 (NSCM., I, p. 17) is probably the Duncan Straloch who appears as "sergeand" of the burgh in 1475 and in 1489 (REA., II, p. 302; Guildry, p. 187). Thomas Straloche was a witness in the same town in 1507 (CRA., p. 76).
