We can't trace the name any further back than Calshot, where it sprang up, and have never been able to find out how the name came about. I am the son of Michael Charles Henry Studden, who was born in Scotland to a Douglas Studden (who was born in Cornwall), his father my great-grandfather was Charles Studden.

I am the son of Michael Charles Henry Studden, who was born in Scotland to a Douglas Studden (who was born in Cornwall), his father my great-grandfather was Charles Studden. As far as I am aware there is only one other Michael Studden in the world who lives in Canada.
