Laurentius Sturrok, chaplain in Aberdeen, 1448 (REA., I, p. 253) is probably Laurence Sturrok, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Covil, 1453 (RAA., II, 96). Alexander Storrok held a fourth part of the vill of Craquhy near Dunnichen, 1509 (ibid., 491). John Storrock in Dundee was charged in 1676 with being a "schismatik and a disorderly person" (DPD., II, p. 443). Storach, Storrack, Storek, Sturrock are the same name originating in the pastoral districts of Angus, and said to mean literally sheep farmers or store-masters (farmers).
