Bapt 'the son of Theobald.' These are not diminutives formed from the nick. Tebb, which see, though practically they became so. They are corrupted forms of the shorter Tebald. (2) Bapt. 'the son of Isabella,' nick. Tib, diminutive Tibot; v. Tebb. Tibet Talkapace is one of the heroines in Udall's Ralph Roister Doister (circa 1550): 'Work, Tibet; work, Annot;'.
