Thomas Tenaunt was One of the witnesses in the inquiry concerning the Templars in 1309 (Wilkins, Concilia, p. 383), and John Tenant was one of the garrison of Edinburgh Castle, 1339—40 (Bain, ra, p. 241). John Tennand was one of the burgesses of Stirling who attacked the cruives and fishings of the abbot and convent of Cambuskenneth, 1366 (Cambus., 55). Andro Tenand was charter witness in Ayr, 1500 (Friars Ayr, p. 68), and Andro Tenand and Bob Tenand were voters in Monkland, 1519 (Simon, 45).
