TEODBOLD: A form of the Old English personal name Theobald, 'people bold.' Teodbold was one of the witnesses to the charter by King Duncan 11 to the monks of S. Cuthbert, 1094 (Lawrie, p. 10). Tebaldus de Norham held a half carucate in Hedinham (Ednam), c. 1147 (Dryburgh, 158).
TYBALD: A form of Old English personal name Theobald, 'people bold.' The death of a daughter of Robertus Tybald in Arnbroath is recorded, c. 1261-6 (RAA. I, p. 209). See Teodbold.
