William Thoirs retoured heir of his mother, Issobell Andersoune, spouse to Thomas Thoirs of Auchorthies, 1658 (Retours, Aberdeen, 340). David Thoirs, advocate, Edinburgh, 1671 (Just. Rec., passim).
