Mr. Lower quotes two 'communes tipulatores' in the records of the Corporation of Seaford, Sussex, 36th Elizabeth, who had broken the assize of bread and beer, and were fined as. 6d. The same year one Symon Collingham, of Seaford, is licensed as a tipler, and is to abstain from the use of unlawful games 'duringe the time of his tiplinge' (v. Lower's Patronymic Britannia)
