I have a theory about the Tolloway name:

An Elizabeth Tolloway (b 1719 St James, Westminster) appeared in my tree of James and Mary Tolloway of St James, Westminster, Middx, London. This was a frustrating puzzle as there were no clues to where this family came from, it seemed the name itself was the problem. After many wrong turns I realised the name could be a corruption of 'Holloway' so searched the St James, Westminster records for a James and Mary Holloway living in Westminster; I found them having children in the same place around the same time as Elizabeth was born:

- Anica Amelia Holloway, Baptism: 29 Dec 1781, Saint James, Westminster, Middlesex, England of James and Mary Holloway

- Name: Ann Holloway, Baptism: 13 Dec 1779, St James, Westminster, Middlesex, England of James and Mary Holloway

I believe Tolloway is a corruption of Holloway and this may be the origin of the Tolliver name in the UK as I only found one isolated case of the name prior to this: Hugo Tolliver buried 1659 Gloucestershire. If you look at the original entry in the parish register one can clearly see the name starts 'Hollo' and I think the remainder of the name is 'way', yet it was transcribed 'Tolloway'.
