Van Dum was a good trader, he knew how to do his trades with both the Portuguese and the Angolan kings. His wife was black and she was much more racist than her husband. Van Dum had many children and I am not with his own conjugate but also with several others. In the course of time his name changed from Van Dum to Van-Dúnem that until now is known throughout Angola.
