Zvipore is the changed name for Zipora as spelled in the languages of the natives who mixed with the Lemba.
However, in Shona, it has the meaning of letting something cool down and it is derived from the Shona proverbs of Rega Zvipore Akabva Mukutswa. This statement ironically describes the character of the Jewish remnants who are thought to tolerate oppression and remain calm.
